Back in the long ago days when many smoked the lethal cigarette, most restuarants and casual places of business handed out matchbooks for inexpensive promomtion.
I always pocketed one, wherever I was.
Just to see whether, over time, they would hold memories or lock in the moment to recall later in life when handling one such object, which would summon up remembrance of things past (thanks, Willy*, for that parsed phrase).
A while back, they did, and I made some videos.
Now, they just might again.
I’ll make further videos of each one, and tell tales, mostly autobiographical when not utterly fantasical.
And I have a whole dense bag of them, well over a hundred, from all over the world, sitting there on a shelf, just patiently waiting for its turn to brought into the world of sight and sound.
So, here’s the first of what I expect to be a regular feature on this site.
